Epsilon engine. Employing a patented cylinder head
design with dual inlet valves, tumble ports and
pentroof combustion chamber, this engine produces
incredible power at a much lower rpm compared to
any other car in its category. |

the computer continuously sensing what's happening
inside the engine, to constantly monitoring the
engine performance, makes it amazingly responsive

Developed to exacting global specifications at its
fully integrated manufacturing plant near Chennai,
the new Hyundai 12V SOHC, inline 4 cylinder, 1086cc
Epsilon engine fired by a Distributorless Ignition
System (DLI), delivering an amazing 63ps of power
at 5500rpm and an impressive torque is 9.8 kgm at
3000 rpm.
The revolutionary DLI System does away with the
distributor that wears away and needs periodic replacement,
thereby significantly reducing maintenance cost.
The DLI system also allows for more precise control
of spark timing resulting in improved fuel efficiency,
reduced emission and increased power.
The multi-point fuel injection system along with
dual intake valves meters the exact amount of fuel
that your engine needs while a Knock Sensor takes
care of varying Indian fuel quality.
All these advanced features make the Santro Xing
surprisingly fuel efficient and guarantees an engine
efficiency that surpasses Euro II norms.

Ventilated Disc Brakes
The Santro Xing comes equipped with larger 'Ventilated'
front disc brakes. These ventilated discs, with
in-built air vents along the circumference, dissipate
the heat generated by braking, much faster than
the conventional solid discs and enhances the life
of brake pads. The ventilated discs also cool down
much faster, providing solid and dependable brake
performance even under the most severe traffic conditions.

Aero Dynamic Styling
The much-improved low drag co-efficient of the wind
tunnel developed shape of the Santro Xing ensures
maximum fuel economy while the specially designed
large radiator grille and massive bumper air dam

The new Santro Xing features the world class McPherson
Strut Suspension with a stabilizer bar in the front
and a torsion beam axle with 3-link offset coil
